Manager In Training (Part Time)

About the role

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults in establishing action plans, and assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Aid in asset management and action plan establishment
• Assume responsibility for the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability
• Direct staff to complete departmental responsibilities and standards
• Inform the Store Manager about inventory movement and customer trends
• Maintain high-quality customer service
• Perform general administrative duties and carry out supervisory responsibilities
• Practice and uphold all company policies, procedures, and standards
• Ensure accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures

Requirements

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel
• 1-3 years of customer service experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage a team and achieve overall goals and profits
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Team-player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise
