Manager In Training (Part-Time)

About the role

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults on action plans to achieve departmental and store goals, and serves as an ambassador for the brand.

Responsibilities

• Affords knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Ensures the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures.
• Assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Trains employees in the Store Manager’s responsibilities.
• Communicates with the Store Manager regarding inventory, sales statistics, and expenses.
• Provides extraordinary customer service according to the customer service manual.
• Protects the company’s assets and financial information.

Requirements

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• One to three years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Team-player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

• Promotes merchandise and services within the store.
