Manager In Training (Part-Time)

About the role

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults on action plans, and assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Affords knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Ensures each department’s responsibilities and standards are completed.
• Monitors inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to maintain profitability.
• Provides extraordinary customer service as outlined in the customer service manual.
• Promotes and sells merchandise while upholding company policies and procedures.
• Works in a fast-paced environment and manages a team towards achieving goals and profits.
• Handles multiple tasks with attention to detail and precision.
• Acts as a team-player and is passionate about customer service and merchandise selling.

Requirements

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• One to three years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in each product area or department in the store.
• Trained in the Store Manager's Responsibilities.
