About the role
The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults in establishing action plans, and assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence.
Responsibilities
- Aid in asset management and establish action plans for store responsibilities.
- Assume full responsibility of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
- Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
- Ensure quality customer service and maintain employee performance.
- Perform general administrative duties and be trained in the Store Manager's responsibilities.
- Provide extraordinary customer service as outlined in the customer service manual.
- Promote and sell merchandise while adhering to company policies.
- Protect company assets and financial information through internal control procedures.
Requirements
- Experience in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
- 1-3 years of customer service experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage a team and achieve store goals and profits.
- Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team-player with a passion for outstanding customer service and merchandise selling.
