Manager In Training (Part Time)

About the role

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults in establishing action plans, and serves as an ambassador creating a unique customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance in asset control and action plan establishment.
• Assumes full responsibility of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Guides employees and customers in all departments.
• Maintains inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Ensures quality customer service and informs the Store Manager of trends.
• Performs general administrative duties and is trained in the Store Manager’s responsibilities.
• Provides extraordinary customer service, including helping customers and managing multiple customers during peak periods.
• Promotes and sells merchandise while upholding company policies.
• Manages employees in the Store Manager’s absence.

Requirements

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage a team and achieve overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Team-player passionate about customer service and merchandise selling.
