About the role
The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults in establishing action plans, and serves as an ambassador creating a unique customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Affords assistance in asset control and action plan establishment.
- Assumes full responsibility of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Guides employees and customers in all departments.
- Maintains inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
- Ensures quality customer service and informs the Store Manager of trends.
- Performs general administrative duties and is trained in the Store Manager’s responsibilities.
- Provides extraordinary customer service, including helping customers and managing multiple customers during peak periods.
- Promotes and sells merchandise while upholding company policies.
- Manages employees in the Store Manager’s absence.
Requirements
- Experience in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
- 1-3 years of customer service experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage a team and achieve overall goals and profits.
- Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team-player passionate about customer service and merchandise selling.
