Responsibilities
- Maintains an open-door policy and supportive work environment for all department employees.
- Coaches and mentors direct reports that include supervisors and technical staff.
- Daily monitors the status of operations by reviewing logs and taking Gemba walks.
- Makes accurate decisions in a timely manner with emerging or limited data.
- Foresightfully understands the interrelationships between the various processes and work to fulfill those needs for efficient operation.
- Demonstrated skill in managing departmental organizations.
- Proven track record working to tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Provides management direction to produce high quality products at maximum efficiency to meet delivery requirements of internal and external customers.
- Ensures effective staffing of the Product Center, provides direction and mentoring to Supervisory staff, promotes cross-training opportunities, and develops supervisory skills of direct reports.
Requirements
Preferred Skills:
- Product Center Manager responsible for the fabrication of UO2 powder and specialty fuels that support Small Modular Reactors (SMR).
- Maintains a strong nuclear safety culture and has experience in fuel fabrication.
- Able to easily communicate to all levels of the organization as well as to external customers.
- Well versed in Production Theory to manage and optimize factory constraints.
- Establish the operations and quality programs for new product lines at the Richland site.
- Individual with a strong nuclear safety culture and experienced in fuel fabrication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (technical or business) or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
- Expert knowledge of manufacturing and quality related procedures and processes.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management, and customers as required.
- Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates.

- Total Rewards Package: Salary: $146,000 - $199,000 and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses.
