Manager II, Compliance & Risk Operations

About the role

This position is hybrid in Fernley, NV.

Responsibilities

• Manage compliance activities for NERC registered projects.
• Track and complete regulatory filings for NERC registered projects.
• Work with NERC Implementation team during construction phase of projects to complete project registration with applicable entities.
• Lead meetings with various stakeholders, including clients, EPC contractors, engineering teams, and more.
• Manage workflow for Compliance Analyst.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 4 years renewable energy industry experience in asset management, business management, contract management, compliance, or operations roles.
• 3+ years’ work experience in NERC Compliance.
• 4+ years actively managing/supporting a Generator Owner and/or Generator Operator compliance program (preferred).
• NERC Operator Certification strongly preferred.

Skills

• Technical knowledge of power systems operations and NERC Reliability Standards.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Additional knowledge of ERCOT, CAISO, and other ISO/RTO markets, State Public Utilities Commissions, and IA/PAA operational requirements desirable.

Pay

The target hiring range for this position is $100,000–130,000. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other relevant factors.
