We're looking for a Compliance & Risk Manager who is passionate about improving systems, solving complex problems, and helping ensure the health, safety, and human rights of the individuals we support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead organizational compliance with DBHDS, DMAS, Human Rights, HCBS, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage CHRIS reporting and ensure serious incidents are reported within required timelines.
  • Conduct internal investigations involving allegations of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and other compliance matters.
  • Complete Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and develop meaningful corrective and preventative action plans.
  • Analyze organizational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain the organization's Risk Management and Quality Improvement Plans.
  • Develop and conduct compliance audits and monitor corrective actions.
  • Maintain organizational policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the Employee Handbook.
  • Cook up the organization's compliance calendar and ensure regulatory deadlines are met.
  • Serve as the contact during licensing reviews, audits, mortality reviews, and regulatory inspections.
  • Provide training and guidance related to Human Rights, incident reporting, investigations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with leadership to strengthen systems, improve quality, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, developmental disabilities, compliance, quality improvement, investigations, risk management, or a related field.
  • Experience conducting investigations or Root Cause Analyses.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DBHDS regulations, DMAS requirements, Human Rights Regulations, and HCBS Settings Rule.
  • Experience with Therap EHR and CHRIS.
  • QDDP or eligibility preferred.
