We're looking for a Compliance & Risk Manager who is passionate about improving systems, solving complex problems, and helping ensure the health, safety, and human rights of the individuals we support.
Responsibilities
- Lead organizational compliance with DBHDS, DMAS, Human Rights, HCBS, and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage CHRIS reporting and ensure serious incidents are reported within required timelines.
- Conduct internal investigations involving allegations of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and other compliance matters.
- Complete Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and develop meaningful corrective and preventative action plans.
- Analyze organizational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain the organization's Risk Management and Quality Improvement Plans.
- Develop and conduct compliance audits and monitor corrective actions.
- Maintain organizational policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the Employee Handbook.
- Cook up the organization's compliance calendar and ensure regulatory deadlines are met.
- Serve as the contact during licensing reviews, audits, mortality reviews, and regulatory inspections.
- Provide training and guidance related to Human Rights, incident reporting, investigations, and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with leadership to strengthen systems, improve quality, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Three years of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, developmental disabilities, compliance, quality improvement, investigations, risk management, or a related field.
- Experience conducting investigations or Root Cause Analyses.
- Strong organizational, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DBHDS regulations, DMAS requirements, Human Rights Regulations, and HCBS Settings Rule.
- Experience with Therap EHR and CHRIS.
- QDDP or eligibility preferred.
