Facility: Mercy Hospital of Buffalo Shift: Shift 1 Status: Full Time FTE: 1.000000 Bargaining Unit: ACE Associates Exempt from Overtime: Exempt: Yes Work Schedule: Days Hours: 8a-4p Mon-Fri Summary: The Manager Human Resources for Mercy Hospital of Buffalo is responsible for supporting the planning, organizing, and directing of all human resources process and initiatives in coordination with Director Human Resources, Mercy Hospital, site administration, and Corporate HR. Provides oversight to HR Business Partners related to employee relations, labor relations, recruitment, benefits, practice acquisitions, and daily HR operations. Position is required to oversee and manage all additional HR functions as requested by the Director Human Resources, Mercy Hospital. Responsibilities: EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or Health Care Administration requiredSPHR certification strongly preferred Experience A minimum of five (5) - ten (10) years of progressive HR related work experience; with a minimum of one (1) - three (3) years of experience of direct HR management work experience required, as well as HR work experience within a health care work environment strongly preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITY Solid strategic planning, analytical, and organization skillsExcellent knowledge of human resource management, employment and labor lawStrong facilitation and mediation skillsAbility to develop and work in a collaborative team environmentExcellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skillsGood strategic planning, analytical, and organization skillsExcellent PC skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access software applicationsStrong Knowledge of HR Information Systems; preferably LawsonSolid knowledge of job requisition software applications; preferably Position Manager WORKING CONDITIONS ENVIRONMENT Typical of an office work and healthcare environment settingTravel is required among Catholic Health facilities
