About the role

Our new Human Resources Manager will oversee various HR functions including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance with labor laws, performance management, onboarding, employee engagement, and fostering a positive work environment. They are crucial in attracting, retaining, and developing a talented and diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR-related matters, providing guidance on workforce planning, talent and performance management, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Advise and support managers on organizational design, leadership development, and employee engagement to align HR strategies with key business objectives, promoting a positive work environment and company culture.
  • Develop and implement solutions for employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Generate and analyze HR-related reports, offering data-driven insights to support decision-making in areas such as employee performance, promotions, salary adjustments, and retention strategies.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor employees and leaders, providing feedback, support, and performance evaluations to ensure team development and effectiveness.
  • Administer and track all immigration needs.
  • Aid employee benefits programs, including health insurance, leave of absences, retirement plans, and assist with immigration needs and benefit-related inquiries.
  • Maintain up-to-date and confidential employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring compliance with data privacy standards.
  • Stay current with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, advising management on necessary actions to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support the maintenance of the organization's work structure by updating job requirements and descriptions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (4-year) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a HR Generalist related field.
  • Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (i.e. UltiPro; Workday; Oracle; PeopleSoft); and Applicant Tracking Systems (i.e. Greenhouse; Taleo).
  • Extensive employee relations experience.
  • Strong knowledge of California, Federal and local employment laws including, but not limited to, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, Title VII, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Ability to professionally handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to resolve conflict in a timely and efficient manner and recommend win-win strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to quickly summarize data.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Able to work with a sense of urgency to perform administrative tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a HR Generalist related field.
  • Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (iHRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems.

Pay

$85,000 - $110,000 annually
