Manager- HRBP
About the role
As the HR Manager, you will provide support to assigned business units and the HRBP team by ensuring effective execution of EssilorLuxottica HR programs, projects, and initiatives. This role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and is responsible for HR services for an EssilorLuxottica North America brand or business unit. Key areas include engagement, succession planning, performance management, recruiting strategy, workforce effectiveness, and individual development planning. You will bring subject matter expertise, fresh thinking, process improvement ideas, and a focus on delivering meaningful results.
Responsibilities
- Execute HR processes and efficiencies across client groups, ensuring managers follow appropriate HR practices, tools, and systems.
- Ensure systems and reporting are accurate and develop easy methods to maintain them.
- Provide support, training, and direction regarding HR processes to educate employees and promote self-reliance for basic HR needs.
- Support the creation and distribution of HR communications.
- Collaborate with HRBPs on process improvement.
- Act as the initial point of contact for HR-related issues and questions, building trust and providing rapid service to client groups.
- Work with HR COE partners to address opportunities systemically and consistently, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support the maintenance of position descriptions and job postings.
- Provide coordination support for store closures and organizational restructure projects, including data gathering, legal reporting, system shutdowns, property collection, and separation documents.
- Advocate for employees, creating and fostering a best-in-class work environment.
- Actively participate in recruiting and on-boarding processes.
- Provide guidance to managers and associates on HR-related concerns, including lower-risk employee relations and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with company policy and federal/state employment laws.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in HR or a related field.
- Knowledge of HR policies and employment laws.
- Sense of urgency and drive for results.
- Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate and reinforce a unified HR voice.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
