Manager HR, USA

About the role

You will be the primary HR point of contact for Fime in the USA, supporting our team located across multiple US states. Reporting to the CHRO, you will manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring that local HR practices are compliant, efficient, and aligned with Group policies. You will work closely with managers and the senior leadership to deliver a high-quality employee experience and support business growth across the region.

Responsibilities

• Own the employee lifecycle in the USA, including onboarding, probation, contract changes, promotions, performance reviews, and offboarding, ensuring a consistent and compliant experience.
• Act as HR partner to local management, advising on people topics such as performance, development, organization changes, and employee relations while applying Fime’s HR policies.
• Manage HR operations and compliance, overseeing HR administration, contracts, employment documentation, and record-keeping to ensure compliance with labor law, social insurance, and internal policies. Prepare bimonthly payroll for three U.S. entities.
• Support performance and development cycles, including performance review processes, goal setting, feedback, and identifying training needs for employees.
• Handle employee relations and engagement with confidentiality and fairness, and contribute to local engagement initiatives and internal communications.
• Contribute to compensation and benefits topics, supporting salary reviews, promotion processes, and helping employees understand their compensation and benefits.
• Implement global HR initiatives locally, rolling out Group HR programs, policies, and tools in the region.
• Partner with the Global Talent Acquisition team for recruitment activities, including interview coordination and offers, ensuring smooth handover from hiring to onboarding.
• Maintain HR data and reporting, collaborating with the global HR Service Partner team to ensure data accuracy and preparing regular HR reports (headcount, turnover, probation outcomes, absenteeism).

Requirements

• 5-8 years of broad HR generalist experience, including responsibility for the full employee lifecycle.
• Strong experience working across multiple U.S. states, with solid knowledge of federal and state employment law, HR practices, payroll coordination, and statutory requirements.
• Proven track record in HR operations and employee relations within an international or multinational company.
• Experience partnering with managers on performance management, development, and organizational topics.
• Experience supporting or exposure to HR activities in Canada is a strong advantage.
• Experience in technology, consulting, or professional services environments is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification is an advantage.
• In-depth understanding of local employment law, payroll and 401(k) administration, and local regulatory requirements.
• Good working knowledge of core HR processes: performance management, compensation principles, benefits basics, and employee relations.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); fluency in French is a welcome advantage.
