About the role

As the Manager, HR Education, Knowledge and Practice, you play a critical role within the education team, supporting the development, enhancement, and delivery of forward-looking learning programs. This role partners closely with learning designers and project teams to create and refine high-quality curriculum reflecting evolving industry practices and emerging technologies, including AI in Rewards and HR. You will ensure learning content builds relevant technical capabilities, aligns with organizational and industry standards, and supports workforce readiness and performance excellence. Additionally, this role contributes to content strategy by identifying skill gaps, integrating best practices, and shaping content for real-world application. The Advisor, HR Education, Knowledge and Practice will also support instruction and facilitation, delivering engaging learning experiences that promote continuous development and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Content Development (50%):
    • Manage the development and execution of education, training, and knowledge resources aligned with organizational priorities, member needs, and industry trends.
    • Partner with organizational leaders, SMEs, volunteers, and cross-functional teams to identify learning needs, content gaps, and opportunities for new products and programs.
    • Leverage AI technologies to improve content development processes and support the creation of innovative educational offerings on AI and HR topics.
    • Guide instructional designers, content developers, SMEs, and external contributors to deliver engaging, high-quality educational experiences.
    • Monitor learner feedback, market trends, and performance metrics to recommend improvements and enhance the effectiveness of educational offerings.
    • Manage content priorities, project timelines, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful delivery of key learning initiatives.
    • Serve as a content contributor and expert, ensuring relevance and effectiveness of educational content and programs.
  • Program Design (20%):
    • Utilize adult learning principles to create and deliver engaging training materials.
    • Leverage digital platforms (SharePoint, AI-based tools, etc.) to enhance learning effectiveness and accessibility.
    • Promote a collaborative learning culture across all departments.
  • Instruction (20%):
    • Serve as a faculty member, speaker, and facilitator for WorldatWork in-person and virtual courses, webinars, and events.
    • Facilitate an engaging, supportive, and energetic community that accommodates various needs and learning styles.
    • Travel up to 20%.
  • Member Experience & External Relations Support (10%):
    • Respond promptly to customer, member, and learner inquiries related to courses, content, and platform navigation.
    • Serve as a subject matter and content expert for media interviews and external inquiries.
    • Collaborate with content strategy, marketing, and editorial teams to ensure consistent messaging and support materials.
    • Ensure all communications reflect brand voice, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences, equalize peak work periods, or otherwise contribute to the organization.
  • Provide outstanding customer service both internally and externally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; OR equivalent experience.
  • Minimum nine years of experience as an HR Generalist, with a preferred focus on compensation and benefits and/or talent management.
  • Understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and HR industry trends.
  • HR certification is preferred but not required.

Skills

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Ability to facilitate an engaging and collaborative classroom environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into accessible learning experiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using analytics tools and AI-enabled learning technologies.
  • Understanding of adult learning theory and competency frameworks.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities independently.

Pay

The hiring range for this position is $95,000 to $110,000 plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus with a target of 10% of base salary.
