Role Overview: Provides leadership for the Health Information Management (HIM) team across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with key indicators, policies, and procedures to support accurate data collection, coding, and documentation. Key Responsibilities Lead daily operations of the HIM team, developing and implementing policies and workflows.Monitor data quality, conduct audits, and address variability issues to maintain high standards.Collaborate on the development and evaluation of electronic health records (EHR) and support high-quality data collection at the point of care.Oversee abstracting and retrieval of medical data for evaluation, planning, and research.Facilitate team communication, resolve disagreements, and promote a respectful, diverse, and cohesive work environment.Identify talent needs, delegate tasks, provide feedback, and foster team development.Manage departmental budgets and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s preferred.Five years of healthcare operations experience, including Cerner systems; leadership experience preferred.Current U.S. work authorization; certifications like RHIT or RHIA preferred.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and quality service.
