About the role
The Site Safety Lead will oversee and implement safety, health, and environmental programs at assigned job sites. This role supervises Site Safety Technicians.
Responsibilities
- Attend customer coordination meetings if one occurs.
- Manage the Site Safety Plan.
- Participate in the daily toolbox talk.
- Communicate trends and incidents.
- Ensure review all JSP for high-risk activities happens daily.
- Complete daily step card, select different crews if available.
- Complete a daily SOS, select different crews if available.
- Complete good catch/near hit cards and submit daily.
- Facilitate daily close out meeting with On-site Project Lead & Site Safety Techs.
- Complete weekly outage report.
- Requires experience in presenting training materials in a group setting.
- Knowledgeable on RCRA hazardous waste regulations and IATA.
- Knowledgeable on Machine tool operation and guarding.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses at the job site. Assist Area EHS Manager to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to job site EHS activities, including inspections, training, and incident reports.
- Complete Certified Safe Leader training within 3 months of hire.
- Complete certified facilitator training.
- Facilitate & participate in emergency response planning and drills.
- EHS coverage will be maintained anytime BrandSafway employees or any of their subcontractors are onsite performing work activities.
Qualifications
- OSHA 30 construction certification or greater, HSA Certification or greater.
- NYC DOB 62 hour required.
- NYC Site Safety managerial license preferred.
- 5+ years of EHS construction experience or a combination of an Industry certification and practical experience.
- 1st Aid/CPR and AED trained.
