Manager – Global Software Business Model
About the Role
The Global Software Business Unit is building a best-in-class team and adding a talented Manager, Global Software Business Model. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping software business models, driving customer value, and ensuring our solutions remain competitive in the global market. You will define packaging strategies, develop financial models, define pricing, and align portfolio strategies to maximize customer adoption. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth, ensure strategic alignment, and ensure our subscription products meet evolving customer needs. You will have a tremendous opportunity to drive impact for subscription revenue and transform the broader automotive industry.
Responsibilities
- Packaging Strategy & Business Model Development
- Develop packaging strategies and business models for connected services, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
- Define clear frameworks for features included in MSRP, subscription offers, or feature-on-demand (FOD) models.
- Strike the optimal balance between a scalable global strategy and regional adaptations to maximize customer adoption and engagement.
- Ensure portfolio complexity is managed efficiently across Cockpit Experience (Navigation, Entertainment) and LEV services.
- Business Case Creation & Financial Modeling
- Develop comprehensive business cases to support new services launch or changes in features, packaging, or pricing.
- Manage financial modeling to evaluate revenue impact, adoption rates, and profitability outcomes.
- Leverage data-driven insights to assess customer behavior, predict churn risks, and identify opportunities for revenue growth.
- Portfolio Strategy Focus
- Serve as the focal point for portfolio strategy, ensuring business models align with product complexity and customer expectations.
- Develop business models for key domains such as Smart Cockpit, EV, and Navigation, with support for cost renegotiation.
- Identify high Willingness to Pay (WTP) features to improve customer adoption and maximize revenue potential.
- Influence & Collaboration
- Act as a strategic advisor to regional teams, guiding them in implementing recommended packaging and business models.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across SWX Global Subscription Strategy, Marketing, Business Insights, and Customer Journey teams.
- Work closely with Brands and senior executives to align strategies with customer needs, business objectives, and financial targets.
- Performance Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Use KPI tracking and performance insights to refine strategies and improve business model performance.
- Identify underperforming features and recommend targeted actions to improve conversion, retention, and revenue.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in business modeling, pricing strategy, or customer insights roles, preferably within subscription-based services, automotive, or technology sectors.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling, business case creation, and ROI analysis.
- Experience in managing product portfolios, identifying key revenue drivers, and optimizing customer adoption strategies.
- Ability to translate complex insights into clear recommendations for product strategy and commercialization.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with experience engaging cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business, Economics, or Data Science.
- Experience in defining business models and strategies in software, connected services, or digital ecosystems.
- Familiarity with automotive industry trends, particularly in connected services, EV ecosystems, or in-vehicle digital experiences.
