About the Role

Arthrex is seeking a relationship-focused leader passionate about improving manufacturing operations through people, processes, and innovation. As Manager, Business Solutions & Operational Technology, you will serve as a trusted partner to Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities, Logistics, and other operational teams. This role leads a group of multi-site business analysts and technical professionals responsible for delivering solutions that enable data-driven decisions and capabilities driving business results.

This position is ideal for someone with a background in manufacturing operations, engineering, or operational excellence who enjoys building strong partnerships, managing a portfolio of projects, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and translating business challenges into practical solutions. Success requires strong leadership, self-motivation, sound decision-making, and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization while helping shape the future of manufacturing operations through process innovation, data & analytics, automation, and technology.

This position is based in Ave Maria, FL and will work within the Technical Operations Department.

Responsibilities

  • Manage staff and vendors responsible for technology, data collection, and information management of Arthrex Operations.
  • Maintain relationships with business units and service organizations to develop architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of the organization will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner.
  • Lead tactical technological planning and execution of strategic activities to achieve the company's goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies ensuring alignment to business and technology future state architecture.
  • Lead standards in delivery and communications to be used throughout the organization.
  • Ensure technology best practices are applied to business processes and systems to optimize client operations.
  • Execute communication plans to ensure teams, peers, and key stakeholders are aware and aligned with work stream priorities.
  • Drive activities of teams to provide proactive process improvement for work stream operations to ensure continuous, high-level performance of people, processes, and technology systems.
  • Support the business adoption of SLAs and metrics to promote on-time delivery of technology solutions and services.
  • Lead teams evaluating the feasibility of new systems and planning of upgrades.
  • Establish standards for the implementation and maintenance of business process analysis, engineering capability, and technology application to the production process.
  • Identify and lead efforts to define and execute the maintenance of life cycle and business value/risk analysis of current systems.
  • Support operations through the evaluation and execution of operation applications, SCADA platforms, process improvements, engineering services, and automation enhancements.
  • Collaborate across multiple disciplines and departments to develop business, engineering, and technology solutions that support Arthrex growth and business continuity.
  • Provide guidance and execution of the introduction and implementation of advanced technology including but not limited to AMRs, AGVs, VLMs, RFID, Robotics, and Vision Systems.
  • Service the various facets of operations as a shared service leader to support strategic alignment of technology and services across multiple operation business units.
  • Ensure compliance within functional areas and support the compliance objectives of the organization as a whole.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree in Business or Engineering preferred.
  • Experience within a Manufacturing or Engineering organization with business analysis or business process improvement experience required.
  • 5 years leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • 8 years of customer-facing responsibilities in service required.
  • Previous experience in Pharma or Medical Device industry a plus.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Process Design and Analytics preferred.
  • Experience with SAP ECC preferred.
  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma preferred.

Skills

  • Technical knowledge of products sold by the company and understanding of their clinical use. Basic knowledge of medical terms relating to the products handled. Basic knowledge of marketing concepts and practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of several business functions and related software applications. SAP preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies, techniques, and tools. Lean or Six Sigma preferred. Understanding of the major functions in a global organization.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
  • Previous involvement in the deployment and/or optimization of software solutions preferred.
  • Previous involvement in the deployment and/or optimization of engineering solutions preferred.
  • Ability to work comfortably at all levels within the organization up to the senior management level.
