Manager, Food & Nutrition Services

About the role

Hudson Regional Health is seeking a Food Service Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Director of Food & Nutrition, this position oversees the operational needs of the department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the scheduling, training, hiring, coaching, and development of all team members
• Ensure that food is properly portioned, plates are attractively presented, and service meets established standards
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, infection control practices, and facility policies
• Ensure that the team complies with safety regulations and adheres to all company policies and procedures
• Work closely with the Registered Clinical Dietitian
• Perform all other related duties

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum three years’ supervisory experience in hospital food and nutrition required

• Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• High customer service and quality demeanor
• Ability to work under pressure and meet established criteria
• Ability to apply a participative approach to leading staff, to coordinate and prioritize tasks, and to develop budgets with a complete understanding of facility needs and requirements
• Excellent stress management skills, administrative and organizational, and follow-through skills required
• Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Health system or hospital background

Working Conditions

Hospital or health system food service. May require periodic on-site audits, meetings, or training sessions.
