Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis

About the role

The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis will support a team providing forward-looking financial analysis and insights to inform decision-making and ensure alignment with company goals. Reporting to the CFO, this role partners cross-functionally across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Key contributor to the annual operating budget process and periodic forecasting process
• Strategic business partner to Marketing and General & Administrative teams to understand key business drivers, ensure accountability, and support in making timely and accurate decisions
• Contribute to internal management financial reporting and presentations for the CFO, Executive Management team, and the Board of Directors
• Support the Accounting team's monthly close and month end variance analysis
• Own, maintain, and improve internal models, dashboards, and analyses
• Optimize and maintain critical and sensitive data models
• Identify and analyze operational problems and recommend effective solutions
• Work closely with cross-functional teams on complex ad hoc projects and reporting

Requirements

• 4-6 years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis (preferably with a combination of financial accounting and reporting experience)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related - MBA is a plus
• Publicly traded company experience strongly preferred

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel and Power BI skills together with strong data query experience and the ability to manipulate and interpret large sets of data. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statement presentation is a must.
• Situational adaptability and resourcefulness Continuous improvement mindset Experience with financial planning software use and/or implementation is strongly preferred.

Pay

The annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $115,000 - $130,000.
