About the role

The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis will play a critical role in supporting the financial health and strategic initiatives of Luminis Health. This position supports the development, review, and accurate and fiscally reasonable Capital and Operating budgets. Working with the Vice President of Financial Planning, the Manager will make recommendations for system financial improvement based on metric-driven analysis. The role manages the activities of the Financial Planning and Analysis staff to ensure accurate reporting and financial analysis while providing guidance to modify processes when necessary to improve departmental output.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and coordination of Luminis Health’s capital and operating budgets for presentation to the Director of Financial Planning and Vice President of Financial Planning that are consistent with Luminis Health stated financial goals.
  • Review monthly financial results in alignment with key volume indicators for communication of areas of improvement as well as risks to operational leaders.
  • Serve as a financial advisor, helping non-financial stakeholders understand performance and implications.
  • Analyze Luminis Health monthly financial results for accounting and operational accuracy.
  • Present financial results and forecasts to senior leadership and business partners.
  • Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for senior leadership including income statements, productivity metrics, and other KPIs.
  • Recommend areas of potential Luminis Health operational improvement while working with department heads to align financial goals with operational plans.
  • Oversee the maintenance and operational analysis of the cost accounting system. Utilize cost accounting information to review and recommend areas for further management productivity analysis.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to create and evaluate business cases, strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Supervise Financial Planning and Analysis staff; select capable and talented people; build a strong team with complementary strengths; orient and clarify expectations; offer instruction and advice; provide opportunities to develop new skills and provide support and feedback to enhance performance.
  • Document performance of subordinates; conduct performance reviews; develop goals and action plans; coach and counsel subordinates to facilitate performance improvement or identify non-performers in accordance with personnel policies and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and improvement within the Financial Planning function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field is required; MBA/CPA preferred.
  • Eight years of related work experience, including capital and operating budget development, business planning creation and communication, monthly financial statement review, productivity/efficiency measurement and communication, and managing staff with an increasing level of responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of computer software programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills.

Pay

$111,951.52—$155,001.60 USD
