Key Responsibilities
- Directs the daily activities of a finance team, ensuring goals are met within the scope of departmental plans.
- Provides guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to staff while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Ensures the efficient management of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Works closely with the director to develop and adapt strategies that meet organizational objectives.
- Develops and implements processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
- Oversees the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Conducts financial analysis to assess the company's financial health, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to align financial performance with business goals.
- Ensures adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls, proactively managing risks to maintain financial integrity and compliance.
- Reviews financial practices to ensure that high-quality standards are consistently met.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to contribute to the development of short-term and long-term financial strategies.
- Supports decision-making by providing financial insights and recommending improvements to business models.
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, department heads, and business partners.
- Communicates financial performance and goals to ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
- Provides coaching to junior staff and develops their financial expertise.
- Fosters a culture of continuous learning and improvement, ensuring that team members have the tools and support needed to succeed.
- Leads the execution of day-to-day financial tasks while supporting higher-level strategic initiatives.
- Supports management in defining project terms and aligning financial objectives with overall company goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
- Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
- Years of Experience: 5-7 Years
- Preferred Education & Experience: Specialized Degree (MBA or MPACC), Years of Experience: 8-11 Years, Preferred experience: Contract acumen and Time management
- A combination of education and experience may be considered
