Job Overview

This position has overall financial accountability for the Corporate Health business unit and management of its day-to-day financial and administrative operations, including accounting, accounts payable, billing/collections, annual operating budget, capital budgets, financial statement/invoice preparations and call center management. This position is responsible for financial input into Corporate Health’s strategic business planning process and continual analysis of the business unit’s financial operations and identification of opportunities to reduce costs, enhance the customer experience, increase revenues, and refine financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Operations: Responsible for the management of the day-to-day financial operations of Corporate Health (including additional areas of Pavilion IHM billing and Home Connections) and financial input into Corporate Health's strategic business planning process.
    • Oversees the month end financial closing process, prepares all necessary journal entries, and produces corresponding financial statements/invoices.
    • Communicates financial results to Corporate Health senior leadership.
    • Creates the capital budget process for Corporate Health.
    • Maintains budget variances throughout the year and works closely with business line managers and senior management on action plans for reducing variances.
  • Administrative Operations: Responsible for proactive process improvement in financial and administrative processes and functions.
    • Continuous monitoring and enhancing processes and functions to maximize accuracy and efficiency of work flows to ensure customers’ needs are met.
    • Maintains quality indicators for relevant areas (i.e. Finance and Administrative Services) such as, but not limited to, call center abandoned calls, pended claims, days in AR, invoice accuracy, timely results reporting.
    • Reviews processes and identifies opportunities for efficiency, enhanced customer experience, reduction in bad debt, reduction in AR, and denials.
  • Compliance: Ensures Corporate Health meets and maintains compliance with all applicable state and federal program requirements, with emphasis on Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation.
    • Negotiates Ohio BWC fees and serves as a key liaison to the Ohio BWC board for legislative activities.
    • Manages the billing and compliance with third party payers for services rendered by the Corporate Health division.
  • Reporting: Develops financial tracking, billing and reporting processes for the business unit and its service lines.
    • Interfaces with relevant areas of TriHealth to ensure coordination, compliance, and communication of financial and billing operations.
    • Implements/ administers/maintains key performance indicators and business performance management.
  • Customer Relations: Responsible for understanding internal and external customer needs and expectations; developing and implementing action plans to meet those needs, and exceed expectations; coordinating with others as needed; and identifies and implements measures of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance; Accounting, Business, Economics, or other relevant field.
  • Proven track record of building and managing a highly effective team.
  • Strong financial / budget acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with IT systems and reporting process.
  • 4-5 years experience in Management Healthcare.
  • 7-10 years experience in Professional Finance.
