About the role

The Manager Facilities & Maintenance Startup Implementation supports Ryder's Startup Operations in the Supply Chain Solutions division. This role oversees facility startups, manages vendor partnerships, coordinates automation installations, trains maintenance leadership, and drives cost savings initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Owns full site facility readiness ensuring all infrastructure is operational before launch.
  • Leads coordination of MHE and automation installation aligning with operations.
  • Manages vendor performance ensuring quality and timelines are met.
  • Develops maintenance programs and asset management systems.
  • Trains and develops Maintenance Managers for site ownership.
  • Resolves infrastructure issues impacting startup timelines.
  • Analyzes costs and performance to drive improvements.
  • Supports existing sites and provides leadership as needed.
  • Aligns with cross-functional teams on startup execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or Supply Chain, Preferred.
  • H.S. Diploma/GED, Required.
  • 7 years or more in experience in facilities management, maintenance leadership, or engineering support roles, Required.
  • 75–80% travel required as a baseline expectation.

Pay

Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month
Annual Salary Pay: $85,000-$95,000 per year
Annual Bonus Potential: Up to 10% of base salary

Schedule

Must maintain flexibility for responsive and short-notice travel based on startup and operational needs.
Expected early Monday travel for site arrival and support, with Friday afternoon or evening departure to return home.
Must be available for two-week consecutive on-site assignments when business or startup needs require.
Must be able to travel throughout North America (US, Canada and Mexico).

Additional Responsibilities

  • Timely documentation, expense reporting, and data submission are mandatory to support financial accuracy and overall project success.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
