About the role
The Manager, Facilities Management - Energy & Sustainability supports Corporate Real Estate (CRE) facility operations and ensures compliance with safety and company standards. This role focuses on executing the campus Sustainability Masterplan, optimizing HVAC systems, improving energy performance, and managing sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support implementation of the campus Sustainability Masterplan initiatives
- Track, analyze, and report energy, water, and carbon performance metrics
- Aid in identifying and quantifying Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs)
- Support Building Performance Standards (BPS) compliance and reporting
- Aid in troubleshooting HVAC performance issues across campus buildings
- Review BAS/SCADA trends (CHW, HHW, air systems) to identify inefficiencies
- Coverage of hot/cold calls through data-driven diagnostics
- Coordinate with Facilities, contractors, and commissioning agents
- Support Monitoring-Based Commissioning (MBCx) activities using platforms like IES or equivalent
- Analyze utility data, interval data, and system-level trends
- Support Measurement & Verification (M&V) of implemented projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering or related fields
- At least 3 years of experience in energy engineering, HVAC systems, and building operations
- Expertise with BAS systems and HVAC equipment (AHUs, chillers, boilers, pumps)
- Experience with energy analysis tools and data analysis tools
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, commissioning practice, sustainability frameworks
- Experience in sustainability projects and initiatives in campus environments
Preferred Qualifications
- PE (EIT and working towards PE acceptable), CEM (EMIT and working towards PE acceptable), LEED AP or other energy related certifications
- Familiarity with digital twin platforms, MBCx tools, and BAS/BMS expertise
- Master’s degree or higher education in Engineering
