Manager/Facilities and Campus Safety

About the role

This position is responsible to manage the day-to-day functions of the Facilities department including supervising the Facilities staff who provide support to all College locations. This position is also responsible for certain College safety functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee routine, preventative and emergency functions at all College locations for maintenance and mechanical, the College grounds program including the athletic fields, and custodial services.
• Responsible for scheduling and planning in the areas of custodial, maintenance, grounds, and set‑ups for the campus, and ensuring staff coverage to maintain the campus and Education Centers at a high level; assisting the Director/Facilities Operations and Construction with such planning during periods of inclement weather.
• Responsible for the daily supervision of the maintenance, grounds and custodial employees including performance management, improvement plans, and discipline.
• Develop and supervise the planned preventative maintenance program across all College locations.
• Maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) utilizing best standards for daily operations of work order management and as a critical management tool for all Facilities functional areas.
• Plan and coordinate schedules for Facilities programs and projects.
• Maintain accurate and compliant regulatory code enforcement records for all required equipment, systems and areas for which the College must meet scheduled inspections and/or certificates.
• Ensure that all Facilities related equipment is maintained in a safe working manner per best practices based on manufacturers specifications and maintenance schedules.
• Develop a scheduled maintenance and obsolescence replacement process.
