MANAGER, EPIC INPATIENT CLINICAL APPLICATIONS

About the role
The Manager, Epic Inpatient Clinical Applications oversees the business and project aspects of applications and modules related to the Inpatient platform within the OCHIN collaborative. This includes managing projects to budget, addressing issues and risks, ensuring high-quality deployment and stabilization, and continually improving system processes and outcomes for members.
Responsibilities
- Onboard new staff in a methodical manner to prepare them for success.
- Assess and develop skills and Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for staff.
- Track and measure department, project, and individual performance goals.
- Identify opportunities for process and quality improvement within OCHIN.
- Ensure team processes are represented on the OCHIN System Map.
- Review ticket metrics to ensure the team meets SLAs and stays current with assignments.
- Intervene and resolve escalations with members as needed.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of analysts to maintain the Epic Inpatient Clinical Application, meeting organizational and member needs.
- Provide leadership and management for Inpatient Clinical Maintenance processes and functions.
- Manage the clinical wing of the Inpatient team and improve member support through coordination with other managers.
- Maintain communication and linkages between the Epic Inpatient Clinical Applications Team and other relevant OCHIN departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Epic certification in at least one to two of the following applications: Bugsy, Stork, ASAP, OpTime, Anesthesia, Willow - Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient Clinical Documentation.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar or relevant role; 8 years of applicable experience desired.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; Access is a plus.
- COVID-19 vaccination required as a condition of employment, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons.
Work Location and Travel
- 100% remote role with the ability to work independently from a home office.
- High-speed internet service is required.
- Less than 25% travel may be required to support member organizations on-site.
- Employees must work in a distraction-free workplace.
Pay
OCHIN uses broadened pay ranges to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. The final offer will be based on skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.
Salary range: $119,571 – $162,617
