Major Responsibilities
- Lead Agile Practices: Guide teams in using Agile methods like Scrum and Kanban. Organize planning events, help teams focus on their goals, and improve how work gets done by removing obstacles.
- Build Strong Teams: Encourage teamwork and open communication. Help team members develop leadership skills and ensure everyone is working together effectively.
- Manage IT Projects and Programs: Oversee IT projects from start to finish, track progress and budgets, and make sure projects support the company's goals. Work with outside partners as needed.
- Engage Stakeholders: Act as the main contact between IT and business teams. Gather requirements, share updates, and make sure everyone’s needs are addressed. Lead meetings to report on project progress.
- Manage Product Backlogs and Applications: Prioritize and update lists of work for software products. Oversee updates and improvements to company applications to make sure they deliver value.
- Align IT with Business Goals: Make sure IT plans support business objectives. Work with business groups to understand their needs and suggest solutions that improve processes.
- Develop Business Cases and Reports: Work with the IT Results Delivery Office to prepare business cases for new projects and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Implement and Integrate Solutions: Coordinate with teams and vendors to put new IT solutions in place and ensure different systems work well together.
- Promote Innovation and Update Legacy Systems: Look for new ways to solve business problems with technology and help replace outdated systems with more modern solutions.
- Manage and Develop Teams: Hire, coach, and support staff. Set expectations, provide feedback, and build teams focused on improvement and delivering results.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, business or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience: 5 years of related experience determining and delivering against business requirements, 5 years of medium to large-scale program management experience, 2 years of progressive leadership experience
Preferred Job Requirements
- Education: Master’s Degree
- Certification/License: PMP certification
