Manager, Engineering - Frontend
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Manager, Engineering - Frontend to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead a frontend platform team responsible for delivering scalable, high-quality user experiences and strengthening the engineering foundation behind the company's product. The manager will balance hands-on technical contribution with people leadership, partnering closely with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to shape priorities and execution. This is a great opportunity to influence frontend architecture, raise quality standards, and help build a supportive, high-performing team. Responsibilities
- Lead the frontend platform team, ensuring team health and delivery
- Contribute technically through code reviews and architectural input
- Own and evolve the shared component system
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams on roadmaps
- Set high standards for frontend quality and performance
- Develop the team through coaching and a supportive environment
- Drive technical design reviews and roadmap advocacy
Qualifications
- 2+ years of engineering management experience
- Strong individual contributor background
- Deep frontend expertise with StimulusJS and Hotwire
- Experience building shared component libraries
- Familiarity with scalable data and reporting systems
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Pay
Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 annually
