Manager EHS

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Compiles and maintains Health, Environmental, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with legislative and Company requirements.
• Manages Company safety related employees and personnel.
• Identifies safety related training requirements for all designated Regional employees.
• Affords advice to Company management regarding EHS issues.
• Affords assistance to Management with new work pursuits, including preparing safety prequalification and client presentations.
• Affords assistance to Management with new project start up.
• Affords assistance to Management with the design and implementation of safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe working conditions, utilizing knowledge of engineering technology, industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, psychology, industrial health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Supports and advises project management in the effective implementation of EHS policies and procedures.
• Facilitates training as necessary.
• Facilitates the Company objective of maintaining an “Incident Free Workplace”, promoting safety awareness and ownership in the designated Region.
• Maintains contact and coordinates with client safety organizations.
• Develops project safety plans and specifications.
• Ensures project management risk assessments and activity related hazards are completed.
• Audits for a successful safety culture.
• Reports on project KPIs.
• Maintains EHS document control.
• Is involved with design safety as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, Environmental, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or an applied science field preferred.
• One of the following Professional Certifications/License: -Certified Safety Professional (CSP) -Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) -Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) -Professional Engineer License (PE) -Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) -Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC).
• 10 – 15+ years of experience in EHS Construction Management.
• 5+ years of experience in the project scope i.e., ATF, DTC, BLSS.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exceptional organization and coordination skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.).
• Familiarity with digital platforms, ACC, DMCS, Avetta, ISN, Veriforce, Highwire etc.
