Responsibilities
- Reinforce the importance of EHS in the organization and lead by example to enhance Otis Safety Culture
- Actively support the organization's efforts to meet or exceed EHS objectives
- Partner with operations to integrate EHS performance and ownership in branch operations; actively participate in management review meetings
- Provide strategic leadership to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance
- Coordinate procedures, approvals, and control of hazardous, regulated, and solid wastes
- Manage all safety performance measures, documentation, and training records in collaboration with field operations
- Lead Branch Safety Audits and incident investigations, supporting the development of corrective action plans
- Ensure compliance with legal and other requirements by integrating them into procedures
- Train and coach line management to recognize EHS hazards and control risks
- Support and evaluate the effectiveness of the communication program, including sharing best practices
- Travel to regional locations to support operations (50-75% travel in the local region)
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related field (or equivalent experience, including elevator Field Operations experience in lieu of degree)
- MS/MBA degree with EHS experience preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of EHS experience or 7+ years of elevator technical field experience
- EHS experience in a field service/operations environment preferred
- Broad understanding of EHS matters in a service environment
- Knowledge of management systems, policies, strategies, and systems needed to implement EHS
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, strategic thinking/planning, and collaboration skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in field operations environments, including walking multiple flights of stairs, navigating construction sites, and other remote work environments
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Prior elevator-specific technical knowledge is an asset

Pay
The salary range for this role is $120,000–$140,000. Pay within the range will be based on relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
