Responsibilities
- Inspire and Educate: Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where students can flourish, fostering their passion for the HVACR industry while imparting your expert knowledge.
- Hands-On Training: Lead by example and provide practical demonstrations, ensuring students gain real-world experience in diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with our education team to enhance existing courses and develop new ones that align with industry trends and advancements.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor students on their projects, encouraging them to think critically and find innovative solutions.
- Safety First: Instill the importance of safety procedures and best practices to ensure a secure working environment for students.
- Manage the Education Department: Develop and maintain the budget; control departmental purchases and instructor scheduling; hire and discipline staff; support and promote instructor development and training through coaching and mentoring; communicate with staff and students on classroom issues and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Student Development: Ensure classes are supplied and courses staffed; partner with course instructors to improve quality of education with presentation and technical expertise; review new information and updates to stay current with the industry; communicate with other leaders and Admissions to ensure consistent application of rules and guidelines, communication, and delivery of a quality education; counsel students on problems or discipline issues and at times work with other departments to implement solutions.

- Security Authority: Establish/maintain a high-performance team of professional, motivated, and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management, and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics. Qualifications
- Education / Experience: High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor Degree preferred. UTI – Lisle only: ASE’s for course(s) to be taught, or Master Certification for course(s) to be taught, or post-secondary education credential from UTI or similar credential to what UTI confers, or Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree, and valid High School diploma or GED. 5 years prior teaching and/or management experience.
- Skills: Project Management skills, Communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skills (Microsoft Office products), People and management skills and abilities, Time management skills and deadline oriented, can adapt to a changing fast-paced environment, Can create budgets and interpret financial data, Problem solving and decision-making skills, using good judgment and professionalism.
