About the Role

The Manager, District Sales, Strategic Channel Partners maintains, prospects, and closes accounts within the assigned territory, focusing on the Strategic Channel Partners market. This role involves creating and executing a sales strategy with support from the management team, developing strong customer relationships, and driving increased sales to meet designated quotas. The position manages all assigned territory activities, including account calls, travel, forecasting, resource management, and closing sales.

Responsibilities

  • Account Management & Account Mapping:
    • Maintain a high level of customer service and account management while ensuring sales and profitability in the assigned region.
    • Increase sales and develop future opportunities through proactive prospecting activities.
    • Contact accounts, qualify them, secure presentations, and close leads generated by prospecting.
    • Actively participate in vertical market events, including trade shows, technology seminars, and association meetings.
  • Sales Strategy Development:
    • Develop a sales strategy for the assigned territory, providing a blueprint of specific actions to achieve or exceed sales goals.
    • Analyze current and targeted customers, providing actual and projected sales results in units/dollars by product.
    • Monitor sales activities in the territory and adjust the selling strategy as needed.
    • Provide feedback to sales and marketing management for strategic decisions.
  • Administration & Reporting:
    • Provide monthly calendars and weekly sales reports detailing specific sales opportunities in the territory (closed, in progress, dead).
    • Maintain an updated and proactive calendar with all current and future sales appointments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of sales experience in a client-facing role.
  • Experience managing accounts in a defined region and driving business growth.
  • 1+ year of experience with the printer/scanner/labeling market or similar industry.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.

Skills

  • Extensive understanding of the "computer peripheral" area (e.g., Printer/Fax/MFC products & solutions).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Knowledge of SAP Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Ability to maintain positive client relationships and increase sales.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose and address customer issues.

Additional Details

This is a remote, field-based role with no fixed office schedule. The defined sales territory includes Southern California, Arizona, and Denver. Travel is expected throughout the territory up to 60% of the time, averaging 5-9 trips per quarter.

Pay

The targeted base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 per year, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and internal equity. Additional compensation includes:

  • A sales bonus of up to $26,000 annually at 100% of target, with potential to exceed based on individual performance.
  • A 6.86% bonus at 100% of target, with potential to exceed based on company performance.
  • A monthly auto allowance for vehicle maintenance, independent of the company’s Travel & Entertainment policy.
