Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversight of all aspects of district operations including lake assessments, vegetation management, water quality testing, and aquatic habitat restoration.
- Development and implementation of strategic plans to meet district goals and objectives.
- Monitoring and managing district budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to lake and pond management.
- Recruitment, training, and mentoring of a team of lake technicians and specialists.
- Providing leadership and direction to the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
- Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
- Identifying training needs and opportunities for professional development.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients within the district, addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests in a timely manner.
- Proactively identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional services to existing clients.
- Collaborating with the sales team to develop proposals and participate in client presentations.
- Ensuring that all services provided meet the company's quality standards and exceed client expectations.
- Conducting site inspections and audits to assess the effectiveness of lake management activities.
- Implementing corrective actions as needed to address any issues or deficiencies.
- Preparing regular reports on district performance, including key metrics, financial analysis, and operational updates.
- Analyzing data trends and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Providing recommendations for strategic initiatives and process enhancements.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resource Management, or related field is highly desired, Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in lake and pond management, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
- Skills & Competencies: Proven experience in lake and pond management, including aquatic vegetation control, water quality management, and habitat restoration. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of professionals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and internal stakeholders. Sound knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in lake and pond management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence and willingness to travel within the assigned district as needed.
