Manager, Dispatch

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
• Oversees Supervisor, Dispatch role and provides guidance as needed to ensure customers are serviced on time
• PARTNERS WITH SITE LEADERS TO ENSURE DISPATCH TEAM ACTIVITIES ALIGN WITH FACILITY OR SERVICE CENTER OBJECTIVES
• Provides support to localized 10-Day; maintains records, documentation and reporting as required for operations
• SUPPORTS THE COORDINATION OF TRANSPORTATION ACTIVITIES BETWEEN SERVICE CENTERS TO MAXIMIZE ARKWOOD ASSETS
• MONITORS REAL-TIME DISPATCH OPERATIONS AND RESPONDS TO DELAYS, INCIDENTS OR EMERGENCY SITUATIONS
• SUPPORTS AUDITS, INSPECTIONS, AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES RELATED TO SAFETY AND OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE
• TAKES ON ADDITIONAL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED TO SUPPORT THE TEAM AND ORGANIZATION

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent (required)
• 5+ years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or transportation (required)
• 2+ years of experience in the hazardous waste, environmental services or other highly regulated industries (preferred)
