Position Summary

The Manager – Directory Services will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and managing the organization's Active Directory (AD) environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting AD performance issues, ensuring compliance with security policies, and leading IT projects involving Active Directory.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Active Directory infrastructure, including domain controllers, replication, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Implement and enforce Group Policies to ensure consistent and secure configurations across the enterprise.
  • Monitor Active Directory performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system configurations for maximum efficiency.
  • Perform regular audits of Active Directory to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Active Directory strategies, including domain consolidation, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Ensure Active Directory infrastructure meets regulatory and compliance requirements, including GDPR, HIPAA, and SOX.
  • Lead or participate in IT projects involving Active Directory, including cloud integration, mergers and acquisitions, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and IT staff.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to address critical issues.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience engineering in a Windows Server environment.
  • 10+ years of experience managing and supporting Active Directory environments.
  • 5+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting and automation of Active Directory tasks.
  • 3+ years of experience with Azure AD, ADFS, and other identity federation technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience.

  • Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) frameworks and solutions.
  • Certifications such as:
    • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)

Additional Information

  • 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity
  • 100% remote position with occasional travel as needed
  • On-call support required
