Manager, Digital Accessibility and Compliance

Regular, full-time position on the Oceanside Campus: 40 hours per week, 12 months per year. Normal work schedule is 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Following successful completion of the probationary period and with approval, one remote day per week (8 hours) is eligible. The selected candidate may be assigned to any district facility during hours of operation.

Residency Requirement

All classified staff, administrators, and temporary/hourly short-term employees must maintain a principal residence in California within 200 road miles of the assigned worksite. Temporary exceptions beyond the 200-mile limit or outside California may be considered for up to 12 consecutive months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and provide operational oversight for the institution's digital and information technology accessibility programs
• Provide districtwide leadership in the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of digital accessibility policies, procedures, and technical standards
• Ensure institutional compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and technical standards related to accessibility, including Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
• Guide and collaborate with departments, faculty, and staff to integrate accessibility and usability into digital products, services, resources, and the overall educational environment
• Lead the Accessibility Workgroup and institutional strategic planning for the college in consultation with an administrator
• Serve as a primary subject matter expert for institutional accessibility and lead initiatives to foster an inclusive digital environment for all users, including individuals with disabilities

Remote Work

MiraCosta College supports flexible work arrangements to promote work-life balance. Eligible positions may offer telework options based on operational needs and policy guidelines. Telework is not guaranteed, and probationary or temporary employees require vice president approval. Full-time telework is not permitted; all employees must maintain a regular weekly on-campus presence.

Pay

Starting at $112,166 per year (range 36, step 1), with annual salary step increases up to step 5.
