Manager Designate

About the Role

The Manager Designate works at the direction and under the supervision of the General Manager to ensure compliance with the Company’s product and customer service standards. This role focuses on being a team-oriented leader, making quality decisions, and instilling pride and accountability in team members. The Manager Designate is expected to develop the competencies required to become a General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality products to customers by ensuring each delivered product meets Papa John’s standards and accurately reflects the customer’s order.
• Communicates, trains, and promotes quality standards to team members using tools like the Operations Manual and Team Member Handbook.
• Recommends performance actions regarding team members to the General Manager.
• Ensures the entire team is quality and customer-focused, building an atmosphere of teamwork, energy, and fun.
• Manages sales goals by providing prompt and friendly customer service and building check averages through team member product training and sales execution.
• Seeks additional sales through traditional and non-traditional methods, including local restaurant marketing and community engagement.
• Manages profit goals, ensures food, labor, and other controllable costs stay within budget, and corrects deviations using the PROFIT System.
• Executes administrative and cash management duties.
• Plans and manages adequate inventory levels using the restaurant’s computerized system to meet sales demands and minimize loss.
• Manages company assets by ensuring the restaurant is clean, fully equipped, and all equipment operates properly; maintains safety and security standards.

This role requires a team-oriented leader with a focus on quality decision-making and fostering pride and accountability in team members. The ideal candidate is working toward developing the competencies necessary to become a General Manager.
