Manager, Design Operations
About the role
The Design Operations Manager plays a central role in enabling the design, product, and operations teams to move faster. They think strategically about how teams work together and design systems and structures to help scale. They lead cross-functional stakeholder groups to deliver quality products and experiences.
Responsibilities
Manage the design team’s people operations and business operations, including KPI/OKR management, headcount, and partner management.
Maintain design standards and practices across teams, identify bottlenecks, and improve the design process and outcomes.
Support the hiring and onboarding of employees, manage contractors and vendors, and balance attrition.
Develop resourcing, capacity planning, and program management routines to ensure teams are delivering against established goals and objectives.
Provide clear communication to cross-functional leadership on status, resources, issues, and priorities.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in design management, project or program management of design deliverables, and operations management, including experience working directly with experience designers, researchers, and strategists.
At least 5 years of experience leading project delivery for cross-functional projects.
3+ years of design tool use and tool management experience.
Experience with design systems.
Experience working with corporate design teams.
Understanding of design quality and product strategy.

Pay
Salaries for this role vary by location and are listed above. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
