About the Role

This managerial role will oversee Bench Evaluation (Validation) activities for new product development of ASIC and SoC products within the newly formed Digital ASIC Business Unit of Analog Devices. The position is based at the ADWL location and involves building and managing an evaluation engineering team responsible for bench testing of MCU and Processor PL products. You will collaborate with local and global design, test, and application teams to drive the post-silicon phase of product development from first silicon bring-up to validation across PVT.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative, reliable, and efficient bench hardware and software solutions for digitally complex SoCs.
• Play a key role in DFT definition and development by collaborating with the Design team early in the New Product Development to improve debug and testability.
• Execute the evaluation development phase of projects, including silicon functionality, characterization, and debug, while working closely with Test teams to develop an overall silicon characterization and measurement plan.
• Supervise, technically guide, and participate in hiring evaluation team members needed for new product development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in high-speed digital validation of MCUs such as ARM Cortex, DSPs, and NPUs.
• Experience in characterization of high-speed interfaces like DDR3, PCIe, USB, and HDMI.
• Experience validating protocols such as I²C, I³C, SPI, and similar serial interfaces.
• Experience running performance benchmarks at the system level for power and speed for MCUs, DSPs, and NPUs.
• Experience in schematic design and layout review for evaluation boards.
• Experience validating and characterizing mixed-signal analog blocks.
• Ability to interact with the Applications team to define system-level use case scenarios for bench validation.
• Knowledge of bench software development and familiarity with toolchains like IAR and Keil.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills, with knowledge of Python programming.
• Proficiency with bench equipment such as oscilloscopes, VI meters, signal generators, and analyzers.
• Ability to collaborate with test engineers to plan overall product characterization between evaluation and test teams.
• Self-motivated, willing to accept responsibility, and capable of mentoring and training junior engineers.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and a team-player mindset.

Pay

The expected wage range for this position is $135,520 to $196,240. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors. This position also qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus based on personal and company factors.
