Manager Cybersecurity 1
About the role
Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions is seeking a Manager Cybersecurity 1 to support information system lifecycle activities. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our Woodland Hills, CA location. In this role you will lead and manage an integrated IT and Cybersecurity team, overseeing performance and execution of the Classified Solutions statement of work, and collaborating with CIDO and program leaders to ensure consistent service delivery across the portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a clear focus on execution and program enablement, be comfortable with accountability at both the strategic and leadership levels, and be familiar with key IT technology solutions, as well as Cybersecurity best practices to include JSIG and RMF compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor Classified Solutions staff of cybersecurity, systems administrators, desktop technicians, and network engineers performing direct administration of Information Systems and associated classified networks.
- Work across disciplines to isolate issues between software, firmware, and hardware, between software and operating systems, between networks and applications, and between one-time events and recurrent systematic problems.
- Keep multi-user classified servers and networks running reliably (install, patch, upgrade, monitor, and configure).
- Recommend and implement system enhancements, to include automation, that will improve the performance of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
- Lead creation and upkeep of standard operating procedures and configuration guides.
- Align support activities with business goals, managing performance metrics and adapting resources as needs change.
- Produce clear written reports and deliver verbal briefings for all internal stakeholders and external partners, keeping everyone informed of status, risks, and outcomes.
- Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors; evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions.
- Analyze and make recommendations to internal and external customer requirements, and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems.
- Support customer programs and perform functional management duties based on business needs and performance.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience.
- Experience with Windows domains, including but not limited to Active Directory, GPOs, Policies, and permissions.
- Experience with documentation and configuration management as they pertain to compliance and security controls.
- Candidates must have a current U.S. Government Secret security clearance (at a minimum), to include a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years OR must be enrolled in the U.S. Government Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program to be considered; the required security clearance must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
- The selected candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP/SAR) clearance as a condition of continued employment.
- Candidates must meet the U.S. Government 8140 requirements for a Manager Cybersecurity 1 – Security+ CE certification; the required certification must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications

Pay
Primary Level Salary Range: $121,000.00 - $181,600.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

This position requires on-site, full-time work at the Woodland Hills, CA location. Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options.
