Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of assigned customer projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. Manages 16+ project specialists and drives annual sales targets of $150 million+, aligning with company objectives and compliance policies.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in planning, documentation, and ongoing execution of customer projects.
- Ensure projects are billed accurately and timely to capture revenue and margin, enabling successful close-outs.
- Create and maintain a consistent approach to project order management and services.
- Act as a change agent for continuous improvement through enhanced methodologies.
- Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with district management and customer requirements.
- Develop full-scale project plans and schedule timelines.
- Estimate and coordinate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals; assume administrative role for meetings, calls, and webinars.
- Manage project spend and provide direction and support to project teams.
- Coach and mentor team members on project management techniques.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and customers.
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools; monitor and report progress to stakeholders.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope and devise contingency plans to ensure project success.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in project/order management (senior-level position).
- 5–7 years of project order management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of project order management strategies and the company’s products and service offerings.
- Proficiency in SAP.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Effective conflict management and decision-making skills, including risk assessment.
- Analytical skills and ability to interact with all levels internally and externally.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, multitask, resolve conflicts, and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience working in a team-based environment.
- Ability to manage resources effectively and make logical, systematic decisions.
- Forward-looking, results-oriented perspective with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Experience supervising staff and achieving results through others.
- Ability to train and instruct in group and one-on-one settings.
- High school diploma or GED required; four-year degree preferred.
Pay
Expected starting rate of pay is $75,000 annually, depending on experience. This position is also incentive-eligible based on specific business metrics.
