About the role

The Manager Imaging Services role is integral to the operations of JPS Health Network, specifically focusing on the CT Imaging Services department. This position oversees various aspects including education, training, budget development, and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements monitoring processes to ensure department performance aligns with organizational metrics.
  • Performs personnel management functions such as hiring, training, supervising, assessing skills, evaluating performance, and counseling staff.
  • Ensures quality of services by maintaining current knowledge of department resources, developing performance indicators, and ensuring compliance with national and state regulations.
  • Prepares and monitors annual budget to ensure performance against objectives, identifies opportunities for new services, and reduces expenses.
  • Manages operations to optimize patient access to appointments, maintains interactive communication, and facilitates the flow of information within the department and across the network.
  • Maintains departmental files and records according to regulatory requirements, develops and updates policies and procedures, and demonstrates respect for diverse staff knowledge.
  • Supports training and competency of the Call Center staff, ensuring they are proficient in registration, scheduling, medical necessity identification, authorizations/pre-certification, data entry, and film/CD handling.
  • Maintains current knowledge of JPS Cares Program, third-party payer principles, and billing and collections functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Health/Business Management Administration, Radiological Sciences, or related field from an accredited institution or AMA-Approved school of Radiology Technology Science.
  • 5+ years of experience in Imaging Services.
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisor or higher-level role.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R) and certified in one specialty imaging (CT, MR, N, M, S).
  • Certified by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
  • Current JPS recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Qualifications

  • OR: Bachelor's degree + 5+ years of experience OR Master's degree + 10+ years of experience.
  • Preferred: Masters degree + Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) or Breast Navigator certification.
