About the role

Ensures high quality, cost effective operation of Imaging Services, including direct-report supervisors and staff; by planning, developing, managing, directing the operations; interfacing with Specialties Operations Manager, physicians, supporting staff and providing the department means for good clinical access, outcomes, affordability, employee satisfaction and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains highly qualified staff through the development and implementation of competency programs.
  • Ensures care is appropriate to the age and cultural background of patients.
  • Manages staff within area of responsibility, including hiring, staff development and coaching and counseling as necessary.
  • Manages a multiple-site, busy, complex environment with a diverse work group that includes physicians, technical and clerical staffing.
  • Ensures quality of care by providing staff with the tools needed to perform effectively.
  • Responsible for department equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Develops, interprets, and implements area of responsibility policies and procedures, QA activities.
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies and maintains radiation safety.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years management experience in a healthcare environment or minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in Medical Imaging.
  • Associates degree in an accredited Radiology program OR two (2) years of directly related experience.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Proven leadership skills (managing change and problem solving).
  • Understanding of imaging procedures and technology.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Local, State, Federal, and Imaging-related licensing/accreditation standards and requirements.

Qualifications

  • Four (4) years experience in imaging or healthcare environment.
  • Experience working in and/or supervising staff in a union environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of Organization.
  • Working knowledge of Imaging Operations, Organization, Policies & Procedures.
  • Working knowledge of business computer systems/software.
  • Working knowledge of Epic.
  • Bachelors degree in radiological sciences, healthcare related field or business.

Pay

The pay range is $115,600 - $149,600 / year. Actual base pay determined at offer will be based on labor market data, internal alignment, and a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

Schedule

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40. Shift: Day. Workdays: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri. Working Hours Start: 08:00 AM. Working Hours End: 05:00 PM. Job Schedule: Full-time.
