Manager Cost Accounting

Responsibilities

• Lead the cost accounting function, including inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Provide program-level cost analytics and leadership within Program Management Offices (PMOs) to ensure financial targets are achieved.
• Partner with Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain and other business unit leadership to provide actionable insights that drive cost awareness, efficiency, profitability, and informed decision-making.
• Manage and develop cost accounting staff, including Program Financial Analysts matrixed to PMOs, providing guidance, oversight, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Develop and maintain financial models to improve forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning.
• Prepare and present detailed cost analysis and reports to support business decisions, including KPIs and dashboards to senior leadership.
• Support capital expenditure analysis and ROI modeling for new projects or investments.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and financial regulations.
• Prepare and present assigned cost analysis reports, KPIs, and dashboards to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• 7 years of cost accounting experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with inventory and warehouse management including cycle count.
• Experience with standard costing systems and variance analysis.
• Experience or ability to develop capability to extract ERP financial information (Infor Syteline ideally, or similar).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Capability or desire to develop ability to present to senior management.
• Flexible in task assignments / ability to work across departmental lines.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• US Citizen.

Pay

$155,000 - $165,000

Schedule

Full-time, On-site at the Aston, PA facility.
