The Manager - Corporate Analytics is responsible for implementing strategic, operational, regulatory, and financial plans related to analytics, with impact at an enterprise level. This role requires close interaction with the Executive Management Team and Committee members who serve on the Board of Directors on various future-focused analytical scenarios, ensuring the Cleco portfolio is viewed holistically to fulfill strategic goals. The incumbent will have significant exposure across the company and must effectively provide analysis, communicate findings, and deliver outcomes to all levels of the organization. This role demands a self-starter and team leader, as there may be little or no direction to complete certain projects.

Responsibilities

• Champion a corporate culture that emphasizes transparency, integrity, safety, environmental responsibility, employee development, sense of belonging, customer service, and operational excellence.
• Lead decision-making by supporting business leaders through strategic analysis on business growth, new opportunities, strategic corporate efforts, integrated resource plans, future renewable projects, capital projects, revenue requirements, long-term and short-term incentive plans, and power markets. Research and understand underlying economic impacts between supply and demand.
• Manage overall business expectations and perceptions, and support ongoing two-way communication of organizational performance by monitoring and reporting key performance metrics to senior management. Provide a narrative on improvements needed and the levers for these improvements.
• Contribute to the overall business planning process by working with key stakeholders and providing insights around capital projects and revenue requirements. Manage and oversee the delivery of multiple projects to ensure business expectations, goals, and objectives are met.
• Lead the development and maintenance of strategic financial modeling tools and scenarios. Own and oversee the accuracy of models and collaborate with multiple teams within and outside finance to improve financial modeling processes.
• Drive the development of standards and decisions regarding improvements to functional processes, including identifying new tools and technologies. Constantly identify and implement industry-leading practices.
• Responsible for the performance and development of employees within Corporate Analytics, enabling them to deliver excellent operational performance with a customer-centric approach. Act as a sounding board for the team.
• Develop solid business relationships, becoming a trusted advisor with internal and external stakeholders to drive success for the Corporate Analytics function. Ensure an agile approach to Corporate Analytics is executed to serve market trends and achieve customer-centricity.
• Lead all project teams to achieve Corporate Analytics targets through highly complex objectives, milestones, obstacles, and priorities while focusing on delivering 1-3-year plans aligned with Cleco’s vision.
• Oversee, manage, and be accountable for Corporate Analytics targets and operating budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• 2+ years of people management experience, preferred.
• Experience and ability to lead Corporate Analytics staff across projects toward a common vision.
• Experience with Microsoft tools and applications required.
• Experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP) preferred.
• CFA certification preferred.
