About the role

The Manager provides day-to-day oversight to a team of content managers, verification team members, and customer service operations associates responsible for conducting advanced business license research and verifications. This role develops and maintains the internal proprietary database of license information ("the BL Brain") and ensures its effective presentation to support both internal and external clients. The Manager also collaborates with technology and product teams to advance industry knowledge and related products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Sets annual, quarterly, and monthly plans for the development of the BL Brain database and delegates team responsibilities to achieve goals.
  • Proactively identifies relevant industry changes and assigns team updates to maintain accuracy in the BL Brain database.
  • Leads the integration of knowledge sources, including updates to catalogs, checklists, intakes, forms, cheat sheets, and web content.
  • Drives technology initiatives, including AI-related functionality, in collaboration with IT teams.
  • Tracks and communicates database and technology progress to leadership and the company.
  • Synchronizes with all CT BL Teams to recapture data from order fulfillment.
  • Leads content generation and thought leadership for the website, podcasts, webinars, and social media in partnership with Marketing and Sales.
  • Monitors industry changes for dissemination to internal and external clients.
  • Oversees the preparation and distribution of Regulator Tracker products and off-the-shelf research, such as remote employee and money transmitter surveys.
  • Partners with the Sales Team to provide subject matter expertise on sales calls, RFPs, and quotations.
  • Oversees the Verifications Team, serving as a subject matter expert in verification processes and systems.
  • Ensures complex or sensitive verification tasks stay on track and communicates timelines to impacted parties.
  • Develops KPIs, metrics, and performance standards for the Verifications Team and reports statistics to leadership.
  • Monitors project deadlines and identifies risks to delivery in collaboration with the Team Lead.
  • Adapts team processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and cross-support during volume shifts.
  • Hires, trains, and develops team members, conducting bi-annual reviews and recommending merit-based promotions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of management experience, preferably in a licensing field.

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.

Pay

$91,400.00 - $160,250.00 USD. This role is eligible for a bonus. The compensation range is based on the primary location of the position, with actual salary influenced by factors such as skills, experience, and hiring location.
