Manager, Complex Accounting & Litigation (CPA Required)

Job Description

The Complex Accounting & Litigation team at J.S. Held is seeking a Manager / Senior Manager to lead complex investigations and litigation support engagements. The ideal candidate should have 7–10+ years of experience in forensic accounting, investigations, disputes, or related consulting environments with an active CPA license.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute complex, multi-jurisdictional investigations involving regulatory inquiries, compliance reviews, financial transactions, and litigation support.
• Support litigation and arbitration matters, including expert report preparation, testimony support, presentations, and data visualizations.
• Analyze large datasets to identify financial irregularities, trends, or risk indicators.
• Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and strategic insight.
• Develop and implement go-to-market strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to practice growth through thought leadership, publications, and market visibility.
• Build and maintain relationships with law firms, financial institutions, and corporate clients.
• Represent J.S. Held at industry events, conferences, and client engagements.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience with a focus on team development and client delivery.
• Lead and mentor junior professionals, including review of work product and professional development.
• Manage engagement teams, budgets, timelines, and deliverable quality.
• Provide constructive feedback and contribute to a high-performance team culture.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex findings into clear, actionable insights.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working across international jurisdictions and regulatory environments.
• Certified Fraud Examiner or desire to obtain CFE License.
• Big 4 Audit Experience is highly preferred.
• Financial services industry experience also highly preferred.

Additional Information

• A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000.
