About the role

The Manager, Communications and Content will champion Centuri's enterprise-wide capabilities, people, and programs internally and externally. The role focuses on building compelling narratives of the work done and the people who make it happen, with a strong emphasis on modern communications technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Story Capture:
    • Translate business operations activity into case studies and project profiles that are visually engaging and directly linked to business objectives.
    • Elevate authentic stories from across the business, including customers, communities, employees, and partners.
    • Anticipate story angles and proactively bring forward plans to capture the essence of these stories.
    • Create and produce engaging video, social, and digital content, including short-form.
    • Lead the process from concept through to content capture, case study, creation, and delivery.
    • Use data and audience insights to shape stories that drive engagement and encourage action.
    • Partner with the digital team to post and broadcast the content created.
    • Measure the impact and modify or amplify as needed based on performance.
  • Media Relations:
    • Support the execution of an enterprise-wide media relations strategy aligned with priority business initiatives and specific milestones.
    • Develop and execute proactive outreach efforts highlighting the company’s differentiators with a focus on thought leadership opportunities.
    • Lead the preparation of any associated briefing materials.
  • Company Reports & Publications:
    • Partner on content creation and development of several high-profile external reports.
    • Aid in the creation of various internal and general communications as needed.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a relevant discipline with a compelling portfolio.
  • Proven ability to scale a modern approach to sharing a company story.
  • Deep understanding of how audiences engage with content across platforms.
  • Strategic mindset paired with hands-on execution and creative instincts – you are just as comfortable shaping the plan as you are making it happen.
  • Technically curious, people-focused, relationship-driven, and deadline-oriented.
  • Highly collaborative yet able to operate independently.
  • A can-do attitude, yes-first attitude.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Open to remote candidates.

Qualifications

  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens.
  • Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify.
  • Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check.
