About the role
NKC Health is seeking a Manager of Clinical Services and Workforce Development to join our dynamic team. Reporting to leadership, this role oversees clinical service initiatives and workforce development programs.
Responsibilities
- Oversees execution, development, and KPIs for clinical service initiatives, including population health and system-wide improvement projects.
- Develops and implements orientation programs, training, and professional development for clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Manages the Medical Assistant Academy, including hiring interviews, participant selection, and overall coordination of the training program.
- Rotates through clinics to provide on-site training, conduct skill check-offs, and support preceptors and Academy participants.
- Completes a post-program completion check-in with Academy participants one month after their successful completion.
- Coordinates the orientation of clinical and non-clinical staff, presenting information and incorporating standardized workflows using the EMR.
- Leverages cross-functional teams to enhance training efforts and holds staff accountable for their work.
- Oversees the rollout of technology and processes to implement clinical services, improving patient care and aligning with the organization's strategic plan for Population Health.
- Participates in talent lifecycle management, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, orientation, mentoring, development, engagement, retention, performance management, and timekeeping for the Population Health team and MA Academy students.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, with a Master’s degree preferred.
- RN (Registered Nurse) license in the state of Missouri.
- Minimum of 3 years management experience, with 5 years preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years population health experience, with 5 years preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA.
- A high level of flexibility, adaptability, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated by the ability to develop training materials and present group training sessions.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, handling multiple tasks concurrently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, characterized by tact, diplomacy, and articulateness.
- Basic computer skills, self-motivated, and a positive team player who is accountable for own work responsibilities.
