About the role
This position plays a crucial role in the hospital’s pediatric oncology department, supporting the clinical team in providing comprehensive care to patients and their families.Responsibilities
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during challenging times.
- Assist in coordinating referrals to other healthcare specialists as needed.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment options.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field (nursing, social work, etc.)
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting
- Current California nursing license or equivalent certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
